2nd Hour Topics

What is the difference between a POLS T form, a DNR?  Both are doctor’s orders.  Do not resuscitate (DNR) forms have been replaced by POLST.  It covers what kind of treatment and under what condition.  Advanced directives are prepared by lawyers.  It’s important for people to understand, they’re not forever.  Powers of Attorney and living will should be updated.  Documents should say the same thing.

Craig: Safe Harbor Trust.

We’re always aging but we don’t think about it until something happens.  The process of aging gracefully doesn’t start at age 60.  The four parts health, housing, financial, legal don’t change but how they are approached do.  Rajiv walks through how these things change from age 20 on.

Anne: I have a Boeing Trust, do I need a Safe Harbor Trust.  The Boeing Trust is a living trust.  That’s completely different than a Safe Harbor Trust.  Safe Harbor Trust provides for quality of life.
